Partisan obstructionism and the influence of special interests are preventing common-sense solutions to man of the challenges we face. This needs to change.
Dozens of important issues, including universal health care, comprehensive immigration reform, and employee free choice cannot get past the Republican leadership in the Senate.
Our representatives should look beyond the letter behind their last name and the contributors to their campaigns. Their responsibility is to the people and they should care more about us than partisanship. We need someone who can bring people together to get things done.
